Build a robot this term.

Hikima Robotics teaches secondary school students in Kano, Nigeria to see, build and test real electronics projects, one circuit at a time.

How students learn

Students learn by building.

Guided, low-voltage projects that spark curiosity and confidence.

01

See the circuit

Understand basic electronic components, symbols and simple schematics.

02

Build a working project

Assemble a low-voltage audio amplifier and observe how its parts work together.

03

Test and improve

Troubleshoot mistakes, test connections and demonstrate completed projects.

The four-week plan

From first component to finished project.

  1. Week 1

    Electronics foundations

Identify components, learn symbols and read simple schematics.

  2. Week 2

    LM386 audio amplifier

Build and test a simple, low-voltage amplifier with a small speaker.

  3. Week 3

    Automatic street light

Build a light-sensitive circuit that switches an LED on automatically when the surroundings become dark.

  4. Week 4

    Test and demonstrate

Check wiring, troubleshoot faults, correct mistakes, and demonstrate both projects.
